Student Privacy Rights From time to time we like to publish photos and videos of our students participating in school activities. We publish these photos and videos, and sometimes student work, on our Kailua Intermediate School website, official KIS Facebook page, and in our newsletter, as well as in other school and district publications. If you do not wish us to publish these images, please submit a signed and dated Consent For Release of Information to the school office.

Congratulations to 7th grader Blue team student Kainoa Hiatt who participated in the MLK Scholastic Chess Tournament at Moanalua Middle School. He won 3rd place and proudly wore his KIS shirt.

William Chen, from Kailua, Hawaii, represented the VFW Department of Hawaii, and was awarded the $500 VFW Southern Conference Award at the national level of competition . VFW website
